The 2k Classic brings Top NCAA Basketball to Madison Square Garden!


November is a critical time for college football teams. Top squads are positioning themselves for a rise in the rankings and berths in big-money bowl games. But football isn’t the only popular sport garnering headlines this time of year. November is when college basketball tips off. The season gets underway with a number of popular tournaments. One of the more exciting tournaments is the 2K Sports Classic. This tournament regularly pits some of the nation’s top teams against one another, and this season will be no different. The games begin Nov. 17 at the Madison Square Garden in New York City. 2K Sports Classic Tickets start at just $10.

This season’s lineup features some appealing games that will leave eager fans on the edge of their seats. Participants will be the following teams: Michigan, Pittsburgh, Marquette, SMU, Eastern Michigan, Gardner-Webb, Howard and IUPUI.

Preliminary rounds are held at individual team’s sites; the semifinal and final rounds are held at Madison Square Garden.

With three weeks in the books, the NFL has already delivered plenty of fantastic finishes, memorable plays and big surprises. Week two saw nine Sunday games decided by seven points or less. There were a number of intriguing games, including Baltimore’s 25-20 win over Cleveland. The Browns jumped out to a 20-0 lead in the first quarter, but instead of coasting to victory in a blowout, Joe Flacco and the Ravens stormed back with 25 unanswered points. Flacco threw for 302 yards in the comeback victory.

Tennessee also made a comeback in its 16-15 win over Detroit. Trailing 15-3 heading into the fourth quarter, the Titans scored 13 straight points to pull out the one-point win. Running back DeMarco Murray rushed for 89 yards for Tennessee.
