See The 100th Running of the Indy 500

It’s that time of year again! On May 29, 2016, your favorite professional race car drivers will head to Indianapolis Motor Speedway for their shot to win the iconic Indianapolis 500. This isn’t just any old race, however, this year marks the 100th anniversary of the original Indy 500. That’s right; as of May 29, this tradition will mark a century of Americana fun. You won’t want to miss this historic occasion, and fortunately Razorgator has you covered with tickets to all of the festivities!

Indianapolis 500 Schedule

Although the running of the Indy 500 doesn’t get started until 12:12 p.m. on the dot, there is still plenty of action to catch beforehand. The gates open at 6 a.m. You’ll want to plan on getting there early to avoid parking lot and entrance crowds.  The Parade of Bands will take place from 8 a.m. until 9:15 a.m. At 9:45 a.m., the ceremonial 500 Festival Princess Lap will commence. The Decade Car Laps take place at 10:00 a.m., followed by the Former Indy 500 Champion Laps at 10:40 a.m. and the Military Silverado Laps at 11:10 a.m. The moment you’ve been waiting for happens next. Driver introductions start at 11:33 a.m., culminating with the traditional “Drivers Start Your Engines” command at 12:04 p.m. After that, the race will be off and running with festivities following until gates close at 6 p.m.

Indianapolis 500 Ticket Prices

Although the race is just a month away, you can still get tickets at varying price levels right here at Razorgator. South Terrace seats are available for as little as $71 and up, which is an absolutely steal to see the 100th running of the Indy 500 in person! Tickets for seats on the Northeast Vista, North Vista, and Snake Pit are available for $113 and up. The best seats in the house at the Paddock, where the racers finish, are $564 and up.
