As if you didn’t already have enough reason to attend this year’s installment of the US Grand Prix, now there is an even bigger incentive. Every year, the Grand Prix features a noted performer to headline the ceremonies. Last year featured Vince Neil, and this year will feature a young woman known as Taylor Swift. That’s right, the 1989 singer will grace us with her presence at the Circuit of the Americas starting Friday, October 21 in Austin, TX!
Venue chairman Bobby Epstein confirmed Swift’s headliner performance this week, and he says the decision was an easy one. Swift will not only appeal to longtime racing fans, but also draw in a new group of music fans to be introduced to the exciting annual event. In fact, as the top performer in the world according to Forbes, Epstein expects to draw in some 100,000 new fans.
Fortunately, you can be one of those fans! If you missed Taylor Swift on her 1989 Tour, you won’t want to miss your chance to see her perform at her only scheduled show in 2016. Swift is scheduled to appear on Saturday, October 22 at the Formula One Series before the race kicks off. Tickets are still available in mass quantities, but are expected to begin selling rapidly following the new of Swift’s appearance. Tickets are currently available starting at prices as low as $135 and going up to $520 for the best seats in the house. Whether you’re coming to see Taylor or the racers, don’t miss it!
