I’m sorry about that. We had this beautiful idea, and we kind of got carried away with ourselves.
- Bono, apologizing after massive iTunes backlash
After U2 teamed with Apple’s iTunes to push their newest release, Songs of Innocence to every registered user of the digital music site earlier this year — whether the user wanted it or not! — the Irish rockers found themselves having to apologize to those upset over getting an album (for free) not to their tastes.
However, the band’s announcement of a world tour, “INNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour 2015,” to support their first new release since 2009’s No Line on the Horizon, is unlikely to lead to awkward apologies — unless it’s to say “We’re sorry for not including your North American city.”
The band’s American and Canadian itinerary is, indeed, somewhat limited; the tour is slated to kick off in Vancouver, B.C. in mid-May; followed by stops in San Jose; Phoenix; Los Angeles (four shows at The Forum); Montreal; Chicago; Toronto; Boston; and ending with a second four-show bill at Madison Square Garden in New York City in July.
With such a limited itinerary on their first tour since the 360° Tour of 2009-11, these shows are guaranteed to sell out…which makes Razorgator your place for great U2 concert tickets.
