It was only a few weeks ago that the New England Patriots were in trouble after getting off to a disappointing 2-2 start. Three games later, the would-be declining Tom Brady looks as good as ever and his Pats are looking quite strong at 5-2. Time can cure all, it seems, but the same may not be able to be said for the Chicago Bears, who visit Foxboro with a 3-4 record in Week 8. In fact, there is rumored to be a rift between Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall, one that could even stretch as far as dividing the team. While that’s for the media to spin, it’s a storyline that will still be analyzed as these two teams prepare to square off on Sunday.
The Bears come into the game needing a win to not fall out of the NFC North race behind the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers. The Patriots, however, will not be an easy opponent and the fans in New England are apparently excited for the game. According to Razorgator, the average price for Patriots Tickets is currently $359, more than 24% above the season average at Gillette Stadium this year.
On top of above average ticket prices, New England will look to extend its winning streak against Jay Cutler. Cutler is 0-2 in his career against New England. These two teams haven’t played since 2010 when New England won its last meeting at Soldier Field, 36-7. Expect Chicago to play with a lot of emotion after last week’s tough home loss.
