The high demand for Rodeo Houston tickets was evident Saturday morning when the on-sale crashed systems on the primary market. 2014’s lineup appeals to all age groups, covering numerous genres. Texas native Selena Gomez will take the stage March 9, two nights after Usher headlines Black Heritage Day and two days before 2013 CMA Entertainer of the Year nominee, Jason Aldean performs. Based on ticket prices on the secondary market, fans are most excited to see Adam Levine and Maroon 5 at Reliant Center on March 13. Levine is not the only high roller judge from “The Voice” to rock the stage; four-time CMA Male Vocalist of the Year Blake Shelton will show you why he is the king of mainstream country music March 20. One of the distinguished country music acts of today, Zac Brown Band, will close the Houston Rodeo March 23 in front of an expectant sold out crowd.
It is not the first rodeo for many of this year’s performers. Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, Jake Owen, Zac Brown Band, Luke Bryan, and The Band Perry we’re among the 2013 talent that was said to be “the strongest lineup in the rodeo’s history.” Maroon 5 previously took the Rodeo Houston stage in 2005 and 2006; Gomez joins the band as a three-peater. REO Speedwagon will rock the largest City in Texas for the second time, last performing in 2002. Rodeo Houston favorite Reba McEntire will make her nineteenth appearance at the world’s largest live entertainment and livestock exhibition; the Country icon first hit the stage in 1984! The music business’ best continue to flock to Houston every year for the Rodeo which is known to draw a couple million people over the two and half week event. With prices as low as $20 to catch the best wranglers accompany the star-studded acts, it’s no wonder why this annual three-week celebration attracts locals and travelers alike.
About half of the acts set to turn out at Rodeo Houston currently are, or will be, touring in 2014. Already in an entertaining state-of-mind expect all out performances from Jason Aldean and FGL who are on the road together in addition to Brad Paisley and Chris Young who are also touring together this year.
Weekday performances begin at 6:45 PM; weekend performances kick off at 3:45 PM
