Pac-12 Basketball Tickets Are a Steal

UCLA-Arizona-basketball

While the Big Ten and Big 12 currently have the most teams in the AP Top 25 (four), the Pac-12 is not far behind (three). Plus, Arizona has held on to the coveted No. 1 spot for three straight weeks. You’d expect to pay a fortune to attend a Pac-12 Conference matchup between the West Coast foes; but the truth is, Pac-12 basketball tickets for teams in the Top 25 (Arizona, Oregon, Colorado) are fairly cheap compared to other top conferences.

Let us assist you.

Conference No. Top 25 Teams Avg. Price
ACC 3 $135.91
American 3 $151.82
Big 12 4 $53.51
Big Ten 4 $85.21
Pac 12 3 $61.93
SEC 3 $88.87

Arizona Wildcats Basketball Tickets

The Wildcats have started their season red-hot, winning their first thirteen games and climbing to Number 1 in the Polls. They have big wins against Duke, Michigan and San Diego State under their belt as they head into conference play. Their super exciting freshman Aaron Gordon has been grabbing the headlines, but he is only part of a balanced attack with four players on the team averaging double figures in points (Nick Johnson leads the team with 16.0 ppg). This young team will only get better as the season progresses and they are looking like a frontrunner for the National Title this season. Arizona is a traditional basketball powerhouse, making an appearance in the Sweet Sixteen 7 of the last 13 years. It should be no surprise than that Arizona Wildcats basketball tickets are second priciest in the Conference. However, tickets to Pac-12 games are down 13% since the beginning of the season at McKale Center and U of A fans are paying substantially less than other top teams against Conference rivals. Last season, Arizona tickets averaged $92 at home; the difference in price was likely due to the fact that the Wildcats played the Bruins at home last year (in 2014 the two teams will matchup in Westwood).

Oregon Ducks Basketball Tickets

joseph-young-oregon-basketballOregon has started the season 11-0 under head coach Dana Altman and they have been fun to watch. The Ducks currently lead the nation in offense scoring an incredible 90.3 points per game. Not surprisingly, the Ducks are loaded with scorers. Five players on the team are averaging double figures in scoring led by Joseph Young (19.8 ppg) and Mike Moser (14.6 ppg). Jonathan Loyd has filled in for last year’s starting point guard Dominic Artis (who was suspended for the first nine games) and is averaging 9.8 points and 6.8 assists per game. Now that Artis is back, the Ducks have a wealth of talent all over the court and could be poised for a deep run come tournament time. What is surprising, is that Ducks fans aren’t paying big bucks to see Oregon’s exciting offense at Matthew Knight Arena. Oregon is conventionally thought of as a “football school” which certainly could be the reason for cheap Oregon Ducks basketball tickets. Averaging just $47 for Pac-12 games, Oregon tickets are the most affordable in the Conference.

Colorado Buffaloes Basketball Tickets

The Buffs have started the season 10-2 led by one of the best guards in the country, junior Spencer Dinwiddie. They picked up a signature win in early December when they beat Kansas on a last second three by Askia Booker, and their only losses have come to Oklahoma State and Baylor who are currently ranked 7th and 11th respectively. Sophomore big man Josh Scott is a force down low. The 6-10 forward is averaging 13.0 points and 8.9 rebounds per game so far and is a great complement to Dinwiddie who leads the team in points (15.7), assists (3.9), and steals (1.6) per game. In the past few years, Colorado has built a program that is now consistently in the top 25; the Buffaloes have made an NCAA tournament appearance in both 2012 and 2013. As interest in the basketball team rises, so too has the price of Colorado Buffaloes basketball tickets. Pac-12 games in Boulder cost 55% more than they had last season as Colorado makes a name for itself in one of the top College Basketball conferences in the nation.

UCLA Bruins Basketball Tickets

UCLA has been in and out of the top 25 to start the season. A road loss to Missouri and a loss to Duke at Madison Square Garden are the only blemishes on their 10-2 start and they will likely climb back into the polls as the season rolls on. They have been a force to be reckoned with on offense as they rank seventh nationally in points per game, third in assists and second in field goal percentage. Sophomores Kyle Anderson and Jordan Adams have led the attack. The 6-9 Anderson is a triple-double waiting to happen averaging 14.7 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game. Meanwhile Adams is scoring 18.9 points per game and is tied for third nationally with 3.3 steals per game. The Bruins boast the highest average ticket price in the Conference among Pac-12 opponents at the newly renovated Pauley Pavilion. The reigning Pac-12 Conference champs will open the year with rivals USC and Arizona at home. UCLA Bruins basketball tickets are currently averaging $138, up 59% over last year.
