“Royals” singer Lorde, announced a 16-date headlining tour in March 2014. The New Zealand native will begin the short trek March 3 in Austin and finish her first string of dates in Oakland March 26. The 17-year old will play two dates at New York’s Roseland Ballroom, the same City Lorde performed her first U.S. headlining show (Le Poisson Rouge).
Last September, Lorde’s manager Scott Machlachlan told Billboard that a first-quarter headlining trek in 2014 would lead directly into summer festival dates. Is a Coachella lineup announcement in Lorde’s future?
Fresh off four Grammy nominations, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year, Lorde will have the opportunity to showcase her raw vocals in the U.S. We can expect high fashion, poised performances from the singer-songwriter who was praised by Billboard for her “unflappable” attitude and “well-defined stage presence.”
Lorde tickets go on sale Friday on the primary market but are readily available now on Razorgator to attend the Silver Scroll award-winner’s first tour in the States.
