Will Katy Perry Tour Following New Single and Album?

Katy Perry’s latest emoji lyric video for her new single “Roar” looks a lot like my text messages to friends. I expect to see a screen shot of the video in the upcoming issue of US Weekly “Stars are just like us” section. The lead single from her new album Prism, to be released October 22, is already climbing charts after today’s iTunes release. I can imagine this song will be played in numerous arenas across the country during sporting events and included on millions of workout playlists in the gym.

While the single was leaked Saturday morning online, Katy has been promoting her new album with her name, the albums name, and release date printed on a gold big rig. The truck is expected to make its way across the country where Perry has asked that fans take a photo of the 18-wheeler when it passes, and post their photos to twitter.

Will the truck stop in all the cities of future Katy Perry concerts? Only time will tell. The first stop, was Hollywood. Prism will be Perry’s first album since Teenage Dream in 2010. The release of the album has everyone asking, “When is Katy Perry going on tour?” The last time Katy Perry went on tour was in support of her third studio album and made Billboard’s annual Top 25 Tours, was awarded Favorite Tour Headliner at the People’s Choice Awards, in addition to Best Live Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards.

Do you think Katy Perry’s latest publicity stunt to promote her album matches Kayne’s with his projected images of his face across the world?
