USA Today released its annual preseason football coaches poll this morning. The votes are in and once again Alabama is on top. The Crimson Tide received 58 of 62 No. 1 votes, a clear favorite to win the National Championship.
But which teams in the Top 25 have the best deals on tickets? Alabama Crimson Tide football tickets are the third most expensive in the League; but teams like the Oregon Ducks and Stanford Cardinal boast a Top 5 ranking yet rank just 15th and 28th respectively in ticket prices, a pretty good deal for Pac-12 fans. The best deal in College Football is awarded to Louisville. At No. 9, Louisville football lands highest ever start in USA Today coaches preseason poll, yet Louisville Cardinals football tickets average just $52 on the secondary market, 93rd in the NCAA.
Although the difference between coaches poll rank and price rank is not as great for Northwestern as it is for Louisville, it is important to note that the Wildcats have a home schedule that includes Ohio State (2), Michigan (17), and Michigan State (received votes). Northwestern Wildcats tickets at Ryan Field are averaging $74 on the resale market, 60th among other College Football tickets. The average price for the Ohio State game is $189, against Michigan $131.
