7/30/13 – Lady Antebellum is going on tour … with a baby! The seven-time Grammy award-winning trio recently announced the first leg of their Take Me Downtown Tour which includes 17 shows. Not only will Lady A be joined by Hillary Scott’s newborn, Kip Moore and Kacey Musgraves will be on the road too. Musgraves opened for the country group’s Own the Night Tour in the UK and Ireland. The Darius Rucker assisted tour sold over 1 million Lady Antebellum tickets over 11 countries. Own the Night tour tickets averaged $122 on the secondary market. The last Lady A concert before lead vocalist Scott went on maternity leave was the Taste of Country Festival in June which followed a performance at the 2013 CMA Music Festival.

The Take Me Downtown Tour will be the return of Lady Antebellum on the road. The tour will support the trio’s latest album ‘Golden’ which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard albums chart in May of this year. Members Charles Kelley and Dave Hawywood with Hillary Scott wrote the tracks of their album with the tour in mind; the group wanted to connect with the fans in the arenas through songs like “Downtown” and “Goodbye Town”. “Downtown” was Lady Antebellum’s fifth single to go platinum. As you can imagine, the threesome is eager to play these songs for fans in a high energy environment.

The 40-date (plus) tour will begin in Southaven November 8 at the Landers Center and will stop at Allstate Arena in Chicago, the Pepsi Center in Denver, and CenturyLink Center in Omaha among others. Additional legs of the tour are expected for the group that has sold over 11 million albums worldwide. Before Lady A tickets go on sale to the general public in mid-September, we will update you on prices to all 17 Lady Antebellum concerts.
