Pearl Jam to Rock Out at Wrigley Field, Fall Tour of North America

The countdown clock on Pearl Jam’s website is explained, well the first one at least. The American rock band with members Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard, Mike McCready, Eddie Vedder, Matt Cameron, is heading out on a North American tour this fall that includes two legs and twenty-four shows. The first leg of the Pearl Jam tour will open October 11 at Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh and finishes in New Orleans with the band’s previously announced headlining performance at Voodoo Music + Arts Experience November 1-3. The Voodoo Music Experience is in its 15th edition and one of the longest-running music festivals in North America. The second leg of the tour will launch on November 15 in Dallas and wrap in the band’s hometown of Seattle December 6 at Key Arena.

Is the new countdown clock that now appears on the band’s website for the release of Pearl Jam’s new single “Mind Your Manners?” Radio stations have already had the chance to listen to the new track calling it ‘hard, sharp, and loud.” Rumored to be released on July 16, will the band give its fans a little taste of what is to come of their tour five days early? Perhaps when the clock strikes 00:00:00:00 we will learn of Pearl Jam’s much anticipated album release date or the title that is still unknown. Only time will tell, but “the most popular American rock & roll band of the ’90s” sure knows how to keep us on our toes.

‘If it’s any indication of the album that’s to come, the guys have picked up where they left Backspacer and added turbo charging. PJ fans are gonna love it.’”

Pearl Jam tickets for the tour will go on sale to the general public July 27 but are already being offered to a select group of Pearl Jam Ten Club members and are available through Razorgator today. To anticipate Pearl Jam ticket prices for the North American tour, one can look at the cost of the band’s upcoming sold-out concerts in London, Ontario (July 16) and Chicago, IL (July 19) – both dubbed  ‘An Evening with Pearl Jam.’ Pearl Jam tickets at Budweiser Gardens start at $246 and are averaging $516.

10Pearl Jam tickets at Wrigley Field range from $355-$5826. The legendary rock group, fronted by Cubs superfan Eddie Vedder, will play in the Windy City with no opening act. The Chicago show was reportedly the fastest concert sell-out in the famed baseball park’s history. Like the tour announcement, the rockers (with the Chicago Cubs) teased fans with a #Staytuned hashtag on twitter; one tweet included a photo of an empty stage setup on Wrigley, another of a Cubs jersey with the number 10 on it (left); Ten is the name of the band’s famous debut album released in 1991. Lastly, the Cubs organization sent out a tweet of a stage set up at the park and a lyric “All The Way,” a Vedder tune about the team (below).Chicago native Eddie Vedder performed at Wrigley Field as the surprise special guest of Bruce Springsteen in September, but it is Pearl Jam’s first time performing at the ballpark together. We are just 10 days out from Pearl Jam’s Chicago concert at Wrigley Field and we expect nothing less than a 10 performance. “Let’s play two!”
