On February 22, 2013, the Legends of the Summer Tour featuring Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z was announced with the release of venues and tour dates. The announcement came just after Timberlake publicized he’d be hosting Saturday Night Live and he’d be returning to the studio.
Legends of the Summer Tour Tickets
Legends of the Summer tickets went on sale to the general public six days after the tour announcement. Tickets for shows at Fenway Park in Boston (8/10), Rose Bowl in Los Angeles (7/28), and Soldier Field in Chicago (7/22) sold out that morning. At that time, concert tickets to see Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z averaged $216 per ticket. The three sold-out shows all had ticket prices higher than the Legends of the Summer tour average. Following the original announcement, second shows were added at Fenway Park and Yankee Stadium.
Legends of the Summer tour tickets are now averaging $282, up $66 since the on sale. Soldier Field tickets for the duo’s Chicago show have the highest average at $569. Yankee Stadium tickets are cheaper for the second show, averaging $29 less per seat. Similarly, Fenway Park tickets for the second show are also cheaper, averaging $31 less per seat.
