10. Enrique Iglesias

His mole may be gone, but his voice is here to stay. Enrique Iglesias makes it to the top ten events this week. Iglesias is currently touring with fellow Latin pop idol Jennifer Lopez for a series of shows entitled Jennifer Lopez and Enrique Iglesias in Concert. Canadian fans will be treated this weekend to some of Latin pop’s greatest performers. Lopez and Iglesias aren’t performing on this tour by themselves. Puerto Rican hip-hop duo Wisin & Yandel are the opening act on this tour. Listen to the sensual sounds of Enrique Iglesias and Jennifer Lopez, following the bass bumping sounds of Wisin & Yandel. Hear Enrique’s hits like “Hero,” “Tonight I’m Loving You,” and “I Like It.” Iglesias and Lopez will be touring all across North America from coast to coast this summer.

9. Lion King

The Tony Award-winning musical will showcase in New York, Chicago, and Houston this week. The musical based off the hit Disney movie is one of the most famous and popular musicals in the world. It’s a theatre experience for the whole family, and is number nine on the list of top-ten events this week. The Lion King will be performed at these three cities this month, so don’t miss the musical that reaches all your senses, especially sight and sound. Lion King tickets make on the list this week, with average tickets selling for $196. The visual spectacular is set to tour across the country, so try to catch this wonderful display while you still can.

8. War Horse

The dramatic play set in World War I gained international fame after premiering in 2007 in London’s famous West End. War Horse tickets are the second most sought after theatre tickets on this list. At an average price of $199, tickets for the play based on the novel of the same name are also the most sought after off-Broadway tickets. Watch as the dramatic war play tours across North America in major cities like New York, Los Angeles, and Toronto. War Horse has won five Tony Awards including Best Play and Best Direction of a Play. The success of the novel and play has also led an on-screen adaptation, which has one multiple Academy Award nominations.

7. Roger Waters

Hey you! Roger Waters is performing in the Charlotte, D.C., and Philadelphia this week. Roger Waters tickets move up to number seven on the list of most sought after tickets with an average price of $203. The Pink Floyd founder is considered by many as one of the best singer-songwriter alive today. With hits like “Comfortably Numb,” “The Wall,” and many more, this is one concert that makes you wish you were here. After leaving the famous English rock group in 1985, the rock and roll hall of famer embarked on a successful solo career, and briefly reunited with the group in 2005 at a charity concert. Waters is going solo on this tour as he hits venues across the northeastern United States this week.

6. Iron Maiden

Music lovers in Canada, if Enrique Iglesias doesn’t your cup of tea this week, then this concert might be for you. Iron Maiden is currently on the Canadian leg of their Maiden England World Tour. Iron Maiden makes it to number six this week. Fans will be enthralled to hear that fellow shock rocker Alice Cooper is also on the tour as an opening act. Over 30 years since their first album, the hard metal rockers from London are still rocking, and Bruce Dickinson’s voice only sounds better with age. Come listen to the face-melting guitar riffs and powerful vocals from one of Britain’s greatest rock bands. Here the awesome sounds of Iron Maiden as they perform hits like, “The Trooper,””Number of the Beast,” and “Powerslave.” Music fans in Canada have a wide range of options for events this week.

5. Kenny Chesney

Country music superstar Kenny Chesney drops to the number five spot on the list this week for his Brothers of Sun of the Sun Tour, and ticket prices have shot down to $220 on average. This week the tour is headed west as the Chesney performs two gigs in California, and one in Colorado. Chesney is also the top musical act on this list, just beating Iron Maiden.  It’s still a great deal considering fellow country superstar Tim McGraw is also co-headlining the tour. The Brothers of the Sun tour dates is reaching large stadiums all over the United States. Watch as the boys from Tennessee rock out with other artists like Grace Potter and Jake Owen. The star studded tour is sure to be one of the summer’s most amazing and fun events, so get your tickets while prices are still low.

4. Jerry Seinfeld

What’s the deal with Jerry Seinfeld tickets? Seinfeld tickets debut at number four this week, as America’s favorite comedian of the 90’s performs in Atlantic City this weekend. With tickets selling on average for $252, watch Jerry Seinfeld perform his famous observational humor in his even more famous voice. Whether you’re familiar with his standup, or more familiar with his popular television series this is the perfect event for fans in the New Jersey area. I could go on talking about Seinfeld forever, but to keep it short, yadda yadda yadda Seinfeld is amazing live.

3. Jason Aldean

Country music star Jason Aldean knocks off Kenny Chesney for country music supremacy on this list. Aldean’s 2010 My Kinda Party album proved to be a commercial success, and Aldean has been riding that success to Grammy nominations, and playing at last year’s MLB All-Star Game. Aldean’s My Kinda Party Tour 2012 is hitting Canada this week, before heading down the eastern seaboard. Canada seems to be a haven of a wide spectrum of good music this week. Jason Aldean tickets sell on average for $258 this week, so get your tickets while they’re still available. Canada, this might be your kinda party this week.

2. The Book of Mormon

The multiple-award winning musical The Book of Mormon moves to the number two spot for most sought after tickets based on average price this week. As the critically-acclaimed musical will embark on its U.S. tour in the fall, Book of Mormon tickets in New York are still selling like crazy. Average prices for the comedic musical sell for $336, down $30 dollars from last week. It is the top Broadway musical to make it on the list. The masterminds behind South Park Matt Stone and Trey Parker made their huge debut on Broadway with their critically acclaimed religious satire musical in 2011. The show has won nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical. The Book of Mormon will be a main stay in Broadway’s Eugene O’Neill Theatre, but will tour the country in late 2012 and in London in 2013.

1. MLB All Star Game

The best from the National League and the best from the American League face off Tuesday in Kansas City. It is no wonder that MLB All-Star Game tickets make it to number one on this list of top event tickets. The MLB All-Star Game is also the only sporting event featured on this list. MLB All-Star Game tickets sell on average for $680, and with an all-star lineup like this, it’s worth every penny. Both all-star teams are playing for the same goal, to win home-field advantage at the upcoming World Series in October.
