  • Tuesday night, Frank Ocean boldly came out via a Tumblr post that beautifully depicted his story of falling in love at 19 with a man. He stated earlier that it was originally part of Channel Orange’s thank you section.

“We’re all a bunch of golden million dollar babies. My hope is that the babies born these days will inherit less of the bullshit than we did. Anyhow, what I’m about to post is for anyone who cares to read it. It was intended to fill the thank you’s section in my album credits, but with all the rumors spreading around.. I figured it’d be good to clarify.”

Ocean’s Odd Future mates, known for their homophobic slurs in the past, were  supportive through various Twitter posts.

  • In an interview with BBC yesterday, Jack White confirmed that Radiohead had recorded at his Nashville studio, Third Man. Earlier this year, Radiohead hinted at a collaboration with White when they dedicated ‘Supercollider’ to him. In the interview, White mentioned that he was not included in their recording or producing. (via. Billboard)
  • A couple weeks after Girls (the band) was featured on Girls (the show), one half of the two man band is calling it quits. Christopher Owens announced on Twitter that he was quitting the band after two albums and an EP due to “personal reasons”. J.R. White has yet to respond.
  • 50 Cent announced Monday that 5 (Murder By Numbers) is to be released as a free LP, not as his fifth studio album. Street King Immortal will be his fifth studio album, scheduled to be released by Interscope in November.
